The grey 'sabi kairagi' is crafted with a traditional technique of first applying a layer of white powder-clay, which crazes during kiln firing. Then, a traditional Japanese sepia paint is applied resulting in a crackled glaze effect. This special cup is perfect for tea or sake. Gently rustic, the unglazed foot is a lovely and unexpected detail. Sold individually.
