The exceptional buds of this wild harvested Bai Hao Yinzhen 'silver needle' tea are plucked by hand in the high forests of Fozi Mountain of Fujian. The tea bushes grow freely among the woodland tree groves scattered within the mountainous terrain.  The early Spring harvest is challenging, requiring a skilled team to harvest the new growth.

The soft and downy, pale green buds have a lovely silvery sheen and  produce an exceptional infusion of remarkable clarity, with a fresh, sweet character reminiscent of tender spring shoots. An enlightening experience for lovers of white tea, or those new to this sophisticated category. This wild-harvested tea is grown without pesticides or fertilizer.

Cultivar: Da Bai; Picking Standard: Bud only.

    • brewing

      • 1-2 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water 
      • 175ºF/80ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.) 
      • Brew 4-6 minutes 
      • Good for 2-3 infusions
