This fragrant and non-pesticide "high mountain" Rougui oolong is a rising star in the pantheon of Wuyi rock oolong. Rougui, which translates to 'cinnamon', is toasty and robust with strong, shiny leaves and a long, resonant finish. The mellow, sweet tea with a hint of cream, lingers on the lips and palette long after the last sip.
The term 'Rock Tea', or Yancha (yan 'rock' cha 'tea') refers to oolong teas from the Wuyi Mountains. The terrain of this mountainous region is rocky, and the terroir imparts a distinct mineral note to the teas.
