Tracie Hervy began her study of ceramics at Greenwich House Pottery in New York City, later earning her MFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Her current work draws inspiration from the quiet simplicity of prehistoric vessels. Each hand-thrown form is distilled to its essential function and every superfluous detail removed, leaving only the essence of the hand thrown objects.
