Iga Tajin Donabe

The conical lid encourages steam to circulate gently within the vessel, allowing moisture and flavor to return to the dish. Crafted from highly porous clay, the tagine donabe’s unique design functions like a small, self-contained oven.

The tagine-shaped lid gathers and returns steam, while the porous clay base infuses gentle, even heat—coaxing meats, fish, and vegetables to tender perfection. Equally suited for stir-fries, stews, or slow roasts on its steel grate, this refined vessel moves beautifully from flame to table, inviting you to serve and savor straight from its sculptural form.

We have a wonderful tagine recipe on our Journal.
