The young leaves and buds of the Chu Ye Zhong cultivar create this wonderfully complex tea. Creamy notes of caramel and cocoa, laurel and pine, give way to a finish of rich malt and smoke. Already superlative to begin with, in the 10 years this tea has aged it has developed a deep resonance and a smooth, elegant characteristic.

Origin: Huang Jian Village, Anhui Province, China 2015

    • brewing

      • 1-2 tsp per 8oz/250ml  
      • 195ºF/90ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 1 minute, and proceed.)  
      • Brew 5-7 minutes  
      • Good for 2 infusions
