jin jun mei (golden eyebrows)

                              Malt~Cocoa~Mellow A most sought-after fully-oxidized (black) tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian Province of fine, delicate leaves complete with fuzzy golden tips.  Elegant, rich and smooth with clear notes of malt, cocoa and a subtle, smokey/ashy undercurrent with a lingering, energetic finish reminiscent of toffee on the palate. Produces a red-amber brew.

Picking Standard: Bud only

  • brewing

     

    • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
    • 195ºF/90ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.)  
    • Brew 4-6 minutes  
    • Good for 3-4 infusions
