Beautiful tools make the process a pleasure.  Kabazaiku, or cherry bark ware, has been woven into the history of northern Honshu for generations. In fact, 18th century Samurai crafted cherry bark products as a secondary vocation. It is a labor intensive process requiring the bark of wild cherry trees; the bark of cultivated cherry trees is not tough enough. 

Our cherry bark tea scoop elevates tea time. The delicate spoons will take on a gentle burnished patina over time.
