No. 62, Himalayan Mist


High in the Himalayas of Nepal, the summer mist lingers in the tea gardens, enveloping the leaves in its cool embrace. This unique tea, crafted in the oolong style from a single clonal cultivar (T1), is lively and warming with expressions of dried plum, date sap, and incense. A pleasant astringency leaves one refreshed and uplifted. 

Jun Chiyabari is a small, organic estate founded by brothers Lochan and Bachan Gyawali.  Their unique and complex teas are reflective of the innovative philosophy and practices the Gyawali’s have embraced to deliver some of most well produced teas coming out of the Himalayas.

  • Brewing Instructions

    • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water 
    • 195ºF/90ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.) 
    • Brew 4-6 minutes 
    • Good for 2 infusions
