No. 74, Himalayan Rani Bhan Spring


The first spring flush of our exquisite Himalayan Rani Bhan, is, in the words of the growers, "an expression of our high mountain seasonality" and "encapsulate freshness and new life". 

These organic twists of fine, full leaves, fresh and delicate with notes of lily of the valley, deep rose, and pecan shell, evolve to reveal a lively brew with a bouquet reminiscent of wildflowers and windswept mountain grasses swaying gently on a high Himalayan plateau.  

Jun Chiyabari is a small, organic estate founded by brothers Lochan and Bachan Gyawali.  Their unique and complex teas are reflective of the innovative philosophy and practices the Gyawali’s have embraced to deliver some of most well produced teas coming out of the Himalayas. 

Origin: Jun Chiyabari, Dhankuta District, Nepal - 2019 

Elevation: 1650-2200m

Brewing Instructions:  

  • 1 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water  
  • 175ºF/80ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.)  
  • Brew 4-6 minutes  
  • Good for 2-4 infusions
