No. 102, Glenburn Darjeeling First Flush, Moonshine

Drawing from the mist that rises off the River Rungeet in the month of April, this light White tea is made from only the most tender shoots plucked from fields in Glenburn that grow their prized clonal bushes.
The long silver leaves remain intact even as they are infused for the brew. This specialty tea is made in very small batches utilizing their most experienced tea pickers. It is manufactured with extreme care in a process similar to a White Tea that preserves all its health giving properties. Though closest to a white tea, it almost defies classification.

The cup is pale, golden in color, light and subtle on the palate with delicate honeysuckle and citrus undertones.

About Glenburn Estate:

A place where the magnificent peaks of the 3rd highest mountain in the world, Mount Kanchenjunga ascend over the tea bushes of Glenburn, - a name that literally means what this 750 hectare estate is - A River Valley.

Here in hills of Darjeeling, tea rises out of the magical landscape imbibing the essence of the eternal Himalayas. In the peace and tranquility of Glenburn a flourishing community of people and tea bushes thrive together as they have done for the past 150 years.
