No. 59, Long Jin

$61.00

Harvested in late March, this exceptional organic green tea is famous for its smooth, vegetal, chestnut and delicate floral profile. It has a rich, sweet finish and a pale green brew that reminds one of the gentle, mist-covered mountains that nurtured the plants, making this Dragonwell a particularly delightful cup.

This very special Long Jing (Dragonwell) was harvested in Western Zhejiang on the edge of a nature preserve, where old, majestic trees dominate the landscape. The low lying clouds and knowledgeable tea producer have conspired to create an excellent cup. The plants are cultivated with organic fertilizer, without pesticide use and spring water flows in and around the organic gardens.  The freshly harvested tea leaves are immediately sent to factory then put on a bamboo screen to dry. After drying, the leaves are kneaded and twisted, and finally, stir-fried by hand resulting in the fine, pressed golden green leaves we are pleased to present to you.
