About No. 168, Zhenghe Mu Dan Wang

Zhenghe Mu Dan Wang is a superlative grade of bai mudan, or white peony and translates to 'king bai mudan'. Northern Fujian and the coastal area of Fuding produce many of the world's finest white teas and this exceptional leaf illustrates the delicate nuance and complex aromatics indicative of its heritage and post-volcanic terroir.

Delicate buds of silvery down produce an exquisite infusion leaving one feeling uplifted and satisfied. The fragrance is resonant, robust and substantial. The bushes in Fujian's elevation mature more slowly and the harvest among the mineral-rich soil of Wu Yi is slightly later than the white teas of Fuding.

This exceptional Mu Dan Wang is sourced from a small family garden in the Wu Yi mountains of Fujian. This tea is purchased in small quantities and is a limited edition selection.
