No. 175, Bai Rui Xiang


Bai Rui Xiang translates to White Winter Daphne. A rare yan cha or 'rock tea' rich in complex floral notes of fine incense, tangerine, leatherwood honey and the traditional minerality of the wu long produced by the Wu Yi terroir of North Fujian.

This yan cha, or 'rock tea', is harvested by hand in the Wu Yi Ecological Preserve.  As with any celebrated Chinese tea, having the opportunity to drink a high-grade selection is a transformative experience.

This exceptional Bai Rui Xiang is sourced from a small family garden in the Wu Yi mountains of Fujian. This tea is purchased in small quantities and is a limited edition selection. Grown without pesticides or fertilizer

Origin: Da Shui Ken, Wu Yi Ecological Preserve, Wu Yi Shan, Fujian Province, China 

Elevation: 600-800 m.

Varietal: Bai Rui Xiang; Oxidization ~ 55%. 

    • Brewing Instructions

      • 2 tsp per 8oz/250ml of water 
      • 195ºF/90ºC  (Bring fresh, cold spring water to a boil. Remove from heat, set aside 3 minutes, and proceed.) 
      • Brew 4-6 minutes
      • Good for multiple infusions
