no.155 Rohini Imperial Enigma, 2nd Flush 2019

Rohini is a small estate in the hills of Darjeeling producing lovely, gently processed teas. The garden is divided into four divisions: Jaberhat, Kotidhara,  Pailodhara and Tukuriya. The estate closed from 1962-2000 but now, in 2018, is producing truly exquisite Darjeelings.  The bushes are of Chinese origin, mostly AV2 and T-78, and a portion of the estate is over 100 years old. This second flush was harvested during the months of April and May and allowed maximum oxidization.  Well balanced with toasty notes reminiscent of pecan shell, cucumber and rose, this tea enjoys a long, vibrant finish with a slight cooling sensation on the palate.
